I hate anything remotely gold looking....so this is just out of the question, dislike the 8800 anyway gold or not.

Way to bling up a mobile... Still looks better in silver, no matter the material used.

8800 gets a re-vamp

A special edition of Nokia's premium 8800 handset will be available from next month according to distribution sources.

Called the Sirocco, it will come equipped with a two-megapixel camera and has a slightly more square design than the original version.

Like its predecessor, it is likely to come in a choice of silver or black. A Nokia spokesman said the company didn't have any details of the new handset, however one distributor said: 'We know it's coming out.'

The luxury handset is expected to be more expensive than the original, which retails for £600. Nokia defended the 8800's high price tag earlier this year and said it had sold over one million units.

The Sirocco will be the third member of Nokia's 8800 family. The manufacturer released an Aston Martin-branded variant for £940 earlier this year

On the 'triple plated' 8800, gold seems so common for them these days, if I had to, I'd go for platinum every time.....

....more likely black chrome(just to make people look) tho....
