I have been waiting for an age for the p990i and now it is here I notice the m600i is also upon us.

I have a p900 and wanted a natural replacement, hence the wait for the 990, however I am now debating what functionality I will actually use.

For example my 900 is never used for camera/video and I use the internet only to access orange world for footie scores.

Obviously my usage of such functions may differ with the added functions of the 990 (wifi/2mp camera), however i just don't know.

I love the design of the m600i and the lack of camera, while frustrating, doesnt bother me too much.

So, which do you think i should go for?

@masseur

Do you think that se will add wifi to the M600, and also how easy is it to type using the keyboard layout?????

No i dont think they will add it as its a hardware issue. If anything SE will probably replace it later with an updated model that would include WIFI built in.

No it wont as SE would keep both phones apart. Perhaps they will put WIFI in the next updated model of the m600i but it most probably wont have a camera on it.

Its been out for a few months now in the UK, unless your wanting a network branded model??. think only Vodaphone are selling the m600i as part of their portfolio.

I am looking for a network branded one as I am wanting the phone on upgrade. Orange are apparently testing the phone for an "August release!"...

@manali,

I was a die hard fan of the P series. Like u i didn't use the camera all that much, even when i did, the image quality wasn't good enough for the image to be used for anything. So i talked myself into an M600.

The keyboard was a *&^$* to get used to at first and I did write about it but now that I've gotten used to it i know there's just no turning back. The P series seems like a brick now. For me the benefit of the size of this device far outweighs the advantage of having both the camera and the wifi and I think this is the only meaningful difference. So if u can't live without a camera and wifi go for the P990 otherwise it's the M600.
