Hi guys n girls,

I was just wondering what jobs the esato students are up to and what the pay is like. As some of you will know, I'm a student but currently in need of a job.

So if anybody has found a decent paying pub/club or high-street store, then please feel free to contribute.

Cheers

I got paid about £100 per day for the last 3 months, guess what I do?

It wouldn't rhyme with 'tree sway' would it?

It depends what kind of work you're prepared to do. I used to go labouring on building sites, the hourly rate wasn't great but there was usually plenty of overtime going if I wanted it.

Here in my part of the world the best paid temporary unskilled jobs are in the food factories and distribution warehouses. It's hard, boring work but the jobs are easy to get via the employment agencies. You normally work a three shift pattern, days, afters and nights which is what bumps your pay up since you get paid shift allowances and sometimes bonuses as well.

Not nice work, as I said but if you want the money...

Well i work for a supermarket and i get £5.55 per hour and time and a half on Sundays. But it took me 3 years to get that lol and the company is rubbish so don't bother with that, not sure what other places are like though.

If you are going to a big city that has places like Harvey Nicks and Selfridges then you will get a lot more. So maybe worth a try they have them in Manchester and London not sure where else though.

How about bar work in the student union, then you still get to socialise at the same time. Plus when people are really drunk they may give there student loan away in tips lol.

Well, I've applied to my Student Bars, but theres no work until september...

On the other hand, there are some new 3 stores opening in London which are looking for sales assistants and paying a whopping £7.33ph...

Would love to work in the Apple store, problem is, I'm fairly good with OSX, I just don't own a Mac and I think they like you to own one or have experience....

Cheers
