okay,i have the theme maker for sony ericsson phones,but i don't know how to make pictures next to highlighted text.

yeah,for example when you use this theme and go to
"Games",theres a paul frank pic next to the highlighted games.

It seems I would have to register in order to be able to download that theme, and also a bunch of advertise popups appeared, so I have not downloaded that theme. But basically, a very common highlight effect is to specify a highlight image which partly is transparent. GIF and PNG image formats support transparency, whet you need is a good picture editing program that supports transparency like Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, or the Gimp in order to create such images.

Simple, just copy paste the picture you want and flatten image (in layer menu?..use Adobe Photoshop..at least learn Photoshop before doing that..
