Hello / sorry to double post / but i was hoping that by posting this outside of a larger thread that this question would be addressed quicker . . .

SO, I have found a few decent M600/P990 symbian themes /
I would however like to change the BACKGROUND IMAGE file
in them . . .

I have tried downloading the UTZ. which usually is read as a ZIP /
unzipping it / then replacing the file / and finally rezipping it + changing
it back to a UTZ . . .

THIS unfortunately makes the M600 not recognize the theme .

HOW CAN I CHANGE THE IMAGES IN THE PREPACKAGED THEMES ?
and not just for the main window / but throughout the os .

Use the theme creator to open themes and modify/change background pictures.

HEY . thanks definitely for the replies .

here's the problem . i'm using the .UTZ files i've downloaded from this
site / which was listed in the previous SYMBIAN THEMES thread /

the Themes Creator refuses to open any of the themes found there /
AND I VERY VERY much would like to use the TRANSPERANCY theme . . .
I just want to change that damn GRASS picture . and some other details .

WINZIP and STUFFIT . and neither worked / the phone says the file is
damaged . . .

is there any other way to swap out the images ? ? ?

or is there another themes creator app that might be able to open them ?

It's weird becuase i can open the UTZ files downloaded from RAPIDSHARE
but not from that site – althought that site has better themes .

What could be causing this ? ? ? ?

Downloaded the Brushed style... all fine here.. just had to rename the file to be a .utz and it opened ok in the Theme creator etc...

Should have line show xml version and encoding etc.
at top of file I think

Just extract the XML file from the Zip file and edit it using you editor of choice (text file)
Add the extra line (copy it from brushed XML file for example)
save and then replace the version in the ZIP file with this edited one.

THANKS SIMPSONS . hey . would you know what line of code i would be looking for in the XML ? I'm unfamiliar with code and wouldn't know what I'm looking at . . .

any hints . . . I'll try and get it to work though . thanks

Copy it from the top of the working Brushed version that you downloaded.
