Heheheheh!

Not as bad as cancelling NTL though. It took five months, three (identical) letters sent via recorded delivery, and around 30 phone calls before the robbing half-wits finally stopped taking money from my bank account.

Talk about being persistent ..that AOL guy just did'nt know when to quit!

personally i've never had a problem with any service provider when ever i've called to terminate a contract.

Excellent advice!

That's exactly what I advise my customers to do nowadays and as far as I know, none of them have got into trouble or recieved points against their credit rating through doing so.

If you pay via a credit or debit card rather than direct debit, get in touch with your bank or card provider and explain the situation. They'll happily and very quickly put a block on these greedy ISP's to prevent them from charging your card any further!
