> P990 Wi fi speed or M600 3g speed
Bookmark topic
Hi I'm looking at buying either the P990 or M600 but not sure which, i like the slimness of the M600 but like the thought of Wi fi connection on the p990 as i have a wireless router (netgear) on my PC. which means i can retain my connection (in the house) at no extra cost to me. Question is when the P990 is connected via Wi fi how quick is it, in terms of surfing the web, i'm only familiar with gprs on my P910. which i hardly use as it is too slow for me, or is the M600 using 3g connection noticably slower than wi fi?
Any help from users would be appreciated.

wifi speed on the P990 is quicker in my experience but you won't be dissapointed with 3g speed if you are in a stable 3g area

And with T-mobile's web'n'walk you wont be disappointed with the cost of 3G either

Actually I am not sure wifi and 3G are that different for battery consumption. Hopefully Johnex or joel80 will comment as they use wifi a lot from the posts here.

JAH
I'm told that T mobile dont do either the P990 or M600 not at least for a while.. they also tell me (from a Manchester store) that even buying a sim free phone (even if it is one they support) and using a t mobile sim, they will not assure me that web n talk would work any way, could be sales talk i dont know, either way no support from them unless it's used with one of their phones..
I'm leaning towards the P990 as i can have an upgrade with o2, o2 tell me they will have them in stock on the 11 Sep.. and it will only cost me £50 so i'm looking forward to that.. My preference has always been o2 as i ring alot of 0870/0845 numbers which are included within the bunble, with everyone else you have to pay for dialing these numbers.. I'm also impressed with the o2 tarriffs with free sat/sun/mon calls.. As for data i dont use more than £10/month anyway and with wi fi i'll probably hopefully use less..
Thanks for the help
