I am now the proud owner of a P910i

Hopefully it will arrive all good and well. Only problem is its orange, so I need to get it unlocked, and i need to debrand it, which i don think is gonna happen, has anyone got any info on debranding them now? I read th debranding thread but thats from 2004 and well old, so im assuming the firmware versions he quotes are old ones, i also imagine that it cant be done as you need 1.18 and the latest is 2.6.4.9.

So it looks like im stuck with that awful orange branding, unless one of you can help me out. Thanks Jack

unbranding in home via SEUS is now impossible - you must search for some service center in your area to do it. it`s worth the effort - branding (orange especially) is pain in the a**!

This is the place to send your phone:-

Had a P910i done there a couple of months ago (was on Orange originally), had it unlocked and debranded and it also gets an upgrade to the latest firmware.
Turnaround was very fast posted it on a Monday, they recieved it Tuesday did their magic and put it straight in the post and then i got it back on Wednesday.
I sent mine recorded delivery and i chose the option to pay another couple of quid or something to have them return it by recorded delivery.
Well worth doing!!
All the best,
Delvi.

That sounds like a great option.

am seriously considering it lol, but also probably going to go for Total multi server to debrand it as you can now use DSS-25. Anyone had any luck with debranding via TMS and its only £16 and can be done in the comfy comfort of my own home

Looked into the Total Multi Server route when i was thinking of getting mine done and decided against it after i had read a few things on different forums.Unlocking does not seem to be a problem it seems to be the debranding, depending on where you look it either seems not to work at all or only partially and some people have had problems upgrading their firmware afterwards on SEUS site.
To use the DSS 25 you have to use specific USB drivers apparently as well.
Decided the safest route was to send it off and i am glad i did as i have had no problems whatsoever with although i have not had to use the SEUS firmware upgrade site yet as i have the latest firmware.
All the best,
Delvi.

Problem with flashing P series is that there are 4 areas which have to be flashed: Phone, PDA, Bluetooth, and CDA
as opposed to the usual 'Main' and 'FS' areas of OSE(normal) handsets; most client software doesn't cater for the Ps, indeed they don't hold firmware for them.
KingMobilephones are good for flashing, as is GBrooks3 from Se:nse(he did my P), both do a proper job for similar time/outlay. Hope this helps
