I am about to buy a few of the applications (try and buy) included in the original memory stick (64MB), that came with the P990i. Will a future firmware upgrade or even a master reset, make all those applications disappear?
Is there a way I can backup the necessary files of those applications (I am particularly interested in Handy Safe) on the memory stick, so that even after a new FW or a reset, I will be able to restore them?

Thanx

Thanx masseur,
One more thing, though!
Where in the Memory Stick (provided I choose to install the application there) will I be able to find the *.sis file? I remind you that this is an application tha already exists in the memory stick that shipped with the phone itself.
Further, when (on the prompt to buy/trial) you choose "buy", do you have to give away your credit card details and how do they get back to you with the activation code?
Is it any easier to do all that from my pc, rather than through Wi-fi on my P990i?
Thanx in advance

Yes master reset and firmware updates wipe everything off the phone. Do a backup before a master reset or firmware update then restore once done. Can do a backup through PC Suite.

if you have installed an application to your memory stick, after you flashed your firmware, all you need to do is plug in the memory stick and you will be prompted whether to install the application.
