i can't install the software to connect my phone to my pc.

everytime i do i get this error message. i'm running XP SP2 and i have tried different version of the software suite. can anyone suggest anything?

Go to SonyEricsson's web site, to the section support/product support, where you will find SonyEricsson PC suite for download. The latest version, as I write this, is 1.20.237. That might function better.

I'm afraid I've experienced exactly the same problem.

I installed the software with the provided CD, but the phone is now never recognised by the computer when attached. The drivers *seemed* to install correctly, but the PC Suite software never installed correctly after.

I downloaded the very latest software (as you've also suggested here) but that won't install either.

I uninstalled the drivers again, but the Network connection still appears when the phone is attached (even though it says cable is unplugged !)

The worst part is - I did a windows rollback (system restore) and it claims there were no changes since the drivers were re-installed.

Basically, the drivers are still on the system, but somehow bugged and impossible to remove. Now I can't reinstall the drivers because my phone isn't recognised when connected so I don't get the prompt to install new hardware.

So, it appears, if the drivers don't install correctly the first time -you're buggered. I suspect I'm never going to get this otherwise brilliant phone to talk with my PC
