ok VoIP (tesco/skype phones)
WHY?!?!?!?!
talk talk offer free calls anyway so do most other phone comanies, you also have a mobile with free calls and MSN/Yahoo/Google/AOL/IRQ and others all offer you free voice chat and even ideo and voice so why purchase u USB phone which they charge you line rental on anyway? yeah free calls* when u buy this phone for life to other phones of the same type

see? nothing is free from telecom and anyway why are they telling people to buy another phone? the adverage phone user now has:
Land line
2x Mobiles
Broadband connection
you dont need anymore ways to communicate do you?!?!?!

subscription VOIP is useful if you regularly make long distance or IDD calls since the rates are much cheaper.
down under you don't actually need a dedicated phone for VOIP. you can just get yourself a VOIP capable modem and go through your ISP if they provide that service.
