Mp3 player on the k800i is perfectly fine, well mine is..fair enough it isnt a walkman phone but still is very good for what it is.
TRackID is not supported by the k800i, your better off with the W850i slider phone which supports it.
As for the stopping of tracks when scrolling through playlists??, nope havent had that experience yet. As for scrolling through tracks??, well it does stop as u fast forward or rewind...i guess its supposed to do that.
As i said the mp3 player on the k800i is pretty good, does the job for me.

As far as i know, it does not unless its been enabled via firmware update but i dont think a new firmware has been released yet for the k800i.
If you want a walkman phone that supports trackid then your better off looking at the w850i which should be released in the next month or 2 hopefully.

I had some problems with the MP3 playback on the phone. But after I updatet the firmware the mp3 player is superb. For me that is.

mp3 playback is fine for me. I've never understood why people have problems. I know love the fact that you can hold the volume keys to change tracks and volume isn't a problem. then again, that could be due to encoding
I insist that my mp3's are encoded at 192kbps with a lame encoder (i think its VBR too)

You can scroll through any playlist while you listen to another track, no problem. The problem is, that when you start playing a track, the player gets into "Now playing" mode, and in that mode, you cannot "see" which song is the next in the playlist, and you cannot scroll a directory list or playlist either. What you can do is to fast forward/reverse the song or jump to the next/ previous track. If you want to know which the next song is without stopping the current song, you have to exit the "Now playing" window, go to playlists (and having remembered which playlist you were using) andscroll through that. It's a little inconvenient, and not as user friendly as in other mp3 players apps I have encountered in other phones. Since this is a program issue only, there is a little hope that this can be improved in future fw releases.
