> Swedish 3 MSN client on debranded K800i

Swedish 3 just released a "free" MSN client for the K800i and the K610i. You are supposed to download the client using a built in place holder java app that has an icon on the main menu. I have debranded my K800i and do not have that icon/app anymore. I found a link to the download page, but trying to download/install gives an error, 'operation failed' or something similar.
Any way to get around this problem? I have IM+ so I may not need this client, but I would like to try it out.

im having the same problem on a debranded k800i 3 phone in the uk, i think its to do with the certificates, when you debrand the phone there wiped ;-(
MSN downloaded fine on it before i debranded it.

Do you think it has to do with certificates? The error message I get does not say anything about security or certificates. Surely they must be available for download somewhere.

Well i tried it on my 6280, same link downloaded straight away, the phone is new on 3 , and is full of certificates.
When i rebranded the k800i that was origionally on 3, it wiped all the certificates off, it downloaded fine before i rebranded it.
So im thinking it makes a check to see if the phone is a 3 one before the download works.
Why msn on phones isnt free i dont know, after all we pay the data fees.

Today I got SMS from 3 telling me that I could register for this service, which I did, but I still can not download the app from my unbranded phone. I wonder if it is possible to rebrand it somewhere, at least just to test this app.
I have read more about this problem at
http://www.flashback.info/showthread.php?t=337520 (in Swedish), and it seems that I am not alone trying to solve this.
