Is there an official blogg, RSS feed or homepage that'll tell me when new fw versions are released and also give me the changelog?

Well, I find it to be a resonable request since SE sold a consumer product with pre-alfa firmware... Knowing SE and the phone business, reason is out of the window.
However, I find the question at a phone forum even more resonable, not a joke.
@Lundmark: I'm afriad there are not (to my knowledge). You have to stick with this threads header:

Don't know why it would be a joke... I expect Apple to inform me of updates and what's new with them, so I shouldn't expect less from Sony Ericsson. It's quite a big deal to me, since the PC Suite doesn't run on OS X (and not in Virtual PC either) so I cannot check for updates regularly through the update service.

I definitly think if they are going to give as an update service that we should know exactly what is fixed so we can decide if we want to update or if the update will not affect us.
with the original online update for the P series SE did try to provide some brief info, but not at new firmware release time. Often it came a week or more later and was not very detailed.
it was based on this previous history, and the fact that SE generally don't tell us much, that I made my first comment

developer forum on CDC and PersonalJava.
"the firmware R3A04 for p990 has a bug that prevents CDC apps from being started.There will be an upgrade though coming out around the first week of september fixing this issue."
