Hi everyone i have decided to purchase a bose sounddock and will be getting it through the apple higher education store as they offer 20% discount i think, only thing is you have to order through a university computer.

So i was just wondering if there is anybody at a uk university now, who could possibly check to see the exact discount i could get, as i don't start for 2 weeks. Bit of a long shot as not many people go back this early.

Please send me a pm if you can help me, thanks very much.

theres another way of doing it using a nus card, allot easier.

Also just wondering why not use ebay as they are cheaper then the sire I think, also as its like a 200 quick dock dont forget that you can also use discount codes.

One other thing, my neighbour has one and I personally wanst very impressed, id rather go for say a sony hifi with decent speakers and a universal dock and remote (be cheaper and sound better)

No to get 20% discount if you are in higher education you have to order through a university institution. The only other way is the normal college discount which anybody can do which is only 10%!

I will be using a discount code aswell just wanted to see if somebody could check what the final total would be that's all. I heard one in the bose shop awhile ago and i was fairly impressed, good quality and very loud. Plus they are damn sexy!

@ miss c there was another one that curves round, but I knwo the one you mean now

@ fatreg - yeh they do althoguh I don't find that these docks are good unless your quite close, my sony hi fi is like 4 years old atleast, but the quality is just superb, its not one of these new micro systems which feel cheap and tacky.

the main thing I find is I couldnt spend £200 on a set of speakers that only work with my ipod.

you could always go for a set of sound sticks and a ipod dock, the sound from those is awesome

There is no discount on the bose dock at all i'm affraid. I just checked for you (and it was definately in the proper higher education store). Probably because it is a third party product apple won't give discount.

There is a £23 off voucher code floating around the net at the moment though that you could use.

Ah what that is crap so it is just limited to apple products, bugger that, grr. Yeah i have a discount apple sent me and there are others around. Thanks for looking for me, ah well never mind. I wonder if it will work on just the normal 10% student discount with a code?
