I've been thinking about buying a new phone and my choices are either the SE K800 or the Samsung D900. I mainly use my phone for camera, music, texting and calls for work purposes. Nobody i know has a 3g phone at the moment either. Recently i've only been using Samsung and Sony Ericsson phones but seem to always come back to SE after a little while and use my K750 or W550. Just like to hear some opinions from esato members as to which of the 2 handsets would be the better choice. This message was posted from a K750i

Going by the things you've listed as being important to you, I'd say K800i too. Sure, they're not perfect, but what is?!

lol i am in the same situation like you
i tried both phones and ya se does have the edge in imaging and update service and i think it would be a more rough and tough phone
If i am going to drop the d900 it my not work but i know the k790 will be able to suffer some minor bumps over the months
oh and also i love the themes on my k750 so i am going for the upgread with a sonyericsson

will post pics in the picture trade as soon as i get it

woo hoo 300th post

just by reading the title, why am i not surprised your two choices were the Sony Ericsson K800i & Samsung D900 without having to read the thread? Seems like these are the only 2phones people in esato are getting, minus ht e p990 and few nokia N seires.
Anyway, I'd say you can't go wrong with the K800i

Theres no way I'd go for another P series phone after the trouble my P900 and P910 had.
I've not had a Nokia for years. Ever since the T68i came out I've had nearly every handset except for the W900, the occasional Samsung (D500, D600), Moto RAZR and a Haier P5 but have always come back to

@staz - To be honest . . . I've always been watching (eagerly) you change 'new' fones for the longest time now During the past . . . you almost change handsets like changing your undies - proliferation ! Given with your 2 options back there . . . I'll go with the K800, though if you will broaden your list and will include a Nokia on it . . . the N73 is a nice alternative ! Good Luck !

I've been happy with my K750 and W550 Jojo which is why I've not got another phone until now. The K800 and D900 are the only two handsets that I'm interested in at the moment. Not sure if I'd best wait until December and see what comes out on the run up to the new year
