So, I've got the T68 with 'gprs' but I live in Azerbaijan and they haven't even heard of it here... what is it supposed to do? I mean, this probably sounds like a really dumb question, but you guys are talking about it all the time... Let me in on it!

If the operators in your country does not support Data Services such as GSM Data and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) then obviously you cannot use these features in your T68. If they don't know about it, then they probably don't have it.

I'll try my best to explain what GPRS is...

GPRS
----
General Packet Radio Service is a new method of transmitting and receiving data on the internet.

When using a modem, you call up a server and then you are connected to that server as long as you're on the net (ISDN =64kbps), and pay for the time you spend, not the data transmitted.

When using GPRS you enclose your transmitted or received data in small packages. In the package-header are the receivers adress located. In this way you are only using the net when you are physically sending data. Therefore you only pay for the data transmitted or received. (In Norway is it currently 0.025NOK / kb...)

This is much cheaper than calling up a WAP server...

Sorry for the bad english... I hope You get the point...
