Hi guys, i'm new here, but im very interested in purcahsing the k800i, but the only thing it is missing for me is that lovely Today Screen the n80 has and also the m600i has. Basically it shows your events in the calander on the main screen instead of having to go into the calander.

This is basically what I want, a java program that shows my calander events on the main screen, have been searching alot now, through this forum and other places, and can't find one.

Please help!!

I don't think you will ever find such a program. Although I am not 100% sure, I would say that this sort of program is impossible to write on the K800 - a Java program typically runs on it's own screen or as a background progress that doesn't interact with the screen. I am also not convinced that you could get all the relevant data to display on the screen through Java or be able to interact with incoming calls or messages.

think ur asking to much from java lol

try insted setting notes on the screen if u need to? SE prob didnt see it as a nesersery thing to add to a CYBER SHOT phone lol P series are PDA/smart phones aka business men phones not general user phones like the K series and series phones sorry about that

Infact the K800 has the ability to use java applications as the "wallpaper" as such. So therefore this could be realistic if an application was written. So far this availability hasnt been implemented but possibly could in future firmwares.

Thanks for that, yeh as this is a really important function for me, I will probably say no to the k800i.
If the k800i only can display a calander item once its alarm has been set off, then its too late of a reminder.
