i bought a K750i in April which has been great...but a few days ago i broke it. i decided it wasn't worth spending the money on fixing it, so i bought a new 1. the 1 i have bought (brand new) will not let the camera zoom on max picture size. apparently this is because it is an old firmware version (possibly CID 36).can anyone tell me how to update it to CID 49?thnx

Its not a bug, its with all new K750's. A sick trick to boost the sales of K800 I suppose?

Take a look at my K750 / W800 Firmware Overview page:

The CID has nothing to do with the firmware version. In fact, CID36 phones are far more customizable than CID49 due to their lower levels of protection (see the FAR manager threads for more information)

The newer K750Is have had the camera zoom adjusted by Sony Ericsson, They call it an upgraded camera unit assembly.

You should also find a piece of paper in the box telling you this information about the nobbled zoom function.
