The battery in my K800i says 950mAh, but this one on eBay says 500mAh:

Will it work 100% or will it hold less charge?

Are there better places to buy spare k800i batteries?

How long can you store charged batteries before they lose their charge?

I also agree. I did have a third part battery for another phone and the phone died after a week. Same with my camcorder, I used the alternate battery and it killed the camcorder, Lucky for me I have 1 day left on the warranty for the Camcorder so it was repaired for free. Battery went into the bin.

If the battery is a SE and this damaged the phone, you have more leg to stand on when you send the phone back. Also the phone reports what batteries have been installed on the phone (it keeps a basic log for the engineers to see)
