I recently got an R600 from my employer, which is a beautiful little phone, but not very advanced compared to my T39m. The games are somewhat funnier though, especially "Contrary" (or Othello since that is what it is). Does anybody know about any hidden games or other secrets in the R600?

It seems like that after Ericsson joined Sony into SonyEricsson for moble phones, the phone firmwares have become more "strict" and not so much the programmer's playground anymore. Look at T68i for example, where all the hidden games are gone, I think. Officially, they say it's because they need the space for MMS and other new functionality, but I think it's also because of the different "development culture" at Sony, and maybe that the programmers at Ericsson wanted to tidy up their code before handing it over to the Sony people.

The R600 also lost one "official" game after a firmware upgrade. Earlier versions had 4 games, the latest version only 3. It's remarking too, that the manual says nothing about which games or how many games there are in the R600.

On the other hand, a mobile phone is not the world's best game console, even though I have managed to drain the battery completely on the R600 a couple of times while playing "Path" without first having turned off the background light. If it was only for the games, I would recommend a GameBoy Color instead. It's much cheaper than GBA and much cheaper than any of the phones we are discussing, and the games are far more advanced. The new T300 might be a good compromise, though.
