> k800i standby banner on 3 network

love this phone so much. had it just over a week and it truly is a mechanical masterpiece.
my only gripe was the 3 banner it had just above the softkey buttons on standby. between the date and the "calls", "planet3" buttons. about 30pixels high (complete guess, but i don't think most people would get "yay high")
then just now all of a sudden it just went. no warning. just now it's not there. i can see the whole of my background picture
swish.
my question is, why? and is it going to come back ever? is it just gone on the 3rd of every month? does it come back when i least expect it?

Are you talking about the instant viewer??
On my k610i (from 3) go into settings/general/instant viewer and turn on/off as you please. Hope this helps.
Does anyone know if the remote update service is available on 3?

I didnt care for it much at first but now quite like it, you can check on remaining mins, text, gprs current spend etc etc within a few button presses.

The Update Service as been removed from the handset on 3, hopefully SEUS will still work as there are many, many known bugs.
I have the K608i on 3 and there has never been an update, the new phones still ship with same firmware as a year ago, hopefully this is because this was not a high volume phone.
