Does anybody here have sky brodband. I am currently with AOL on Gold Package Paying them £20 but I get the speed of silver package (1mb) if I downgrade my connection to silver I will only have to pay them £15 however it would mean I will have to stay with them for another year which I really dont think I can risk.
I currently have Sky digital and Sky are offering good prices for their current customers. The offer I am interested in is as follows:
upto 16mb Unlimited* bandwidth for £10 with wireless modem and no conection charges of any sort
*unlimted bandwidth = Fair Usage policy Appliies
Although I am not a heavy downloader, I mostly use my connection for web browsing and some songs however Id like to keep the option open for the future for download alot of movies once my uni starts.. so therefore Id like to have enough bandwidth and Im not sure what exactly fair usage policy means from sky.. or any other provider in that case.
If anybody has any better suggestion they will be much appriciated. Thank you

skys has a good deal if i were u id take it, but check ur area is compatible with it,
Fair usage means ur not downloading stupid amounts everyday.
All companys have that im aware

yes It is available in my area but Ive been put off by the time it will take them to transfer me from AOL to SKY... 2 weeks of no Internet for me! How am I going to survive?
AOL Currently does not have any fair usage policy, they have not stated it anywhere so therefore I might have gone overboard with the downloading but they have never warned me as they have not set any policies of doing so however I would not liked to be warned by SKY for over-using the Internet..

lol im talking about stupid downloading say 100gb a day.
you will be fine with sky, 2 weeks but think of the saving a quicker speeds u will have.
