Hey. I just got my new 3G sim-card, and configured my k800 3G settings, But my problem is that everytime i switch to the 3G net, the "coverage" gets bad, and the phone automaticly switches to the non 3G net...

is there a way to make the phone lock on the 3G net?

go to connectivity and there to mobile networks, there u can set it. but use dual mode, probably the umts net of your operator isnt the best or they got some net problems

No, I am on Netcom (Norway), and I live in the capital Oslo, so the signal should have been good.....

it's pretty weird, cause non of my friends that lives her has the same problem with their 3G Phones....

@Balas

Perhaps you have a faulty handset if your friends aren't experiencing similar problems with their 3G handsets?

The K800i as with all 3g phones, The phone will always choose the most strongest of networks in the area. However that doest mean that 2g is stronger than 3g. The phones still have a prefered choice of 2g than 3g,

Where i live, I get perfect Orange 3g and Voda 3g, however o2 and t-mobile are very limited. The phone can see the 3g networks but will not switch over to them as the signal isnt strong enough. However as soon as i leave the house and walke to the bottom of the street, the phone swaps over to 3g straight away.

However you still have to have a usim card to take advantage of the 3g services and network.

If you place a Normal sim into the phone, The phone will still see the 3g network, however not link correctly so swap backto 3g.

I hope this helps and you get this sorted.
