Another question for you...
There are some files on my memory stick without names, around 6kB in size, that don't even have a file extension. Deleting these result in screwing up directories and file loss. What are these files and why are they visible despite being hidden?
Edit, to sum up:
They're visible on the phone.
They weren't there from the beginning, but appeared when I first inserted the MS on my Mac. "Must be useless Finder files" I thought, since the Mac is great at creating such crap. But all of them aren't.
Then when I performed a backup and restoration in connection with a firmware upgrade, I got those unnamed files back on the phone. Deleting them the first time screwed up all my files and I lost about 70 megs of data and images. Now when I tried again, I lost my beloved Paris Hilton video.
I'm just curious what they are. Really annoying for sure.
I also noted that the camera saves images to the DCIM directory, as well as the camera directory on the card. The images have the .thm file extension.
