I just got a few rar files that i need to open... so i got winRAR

It extracted the first 2 archives fine. But on the third and largest one i get the following message:

! C:\*Path directory*: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

Any way this can be fixed?

Winrar has a repair tool built in, there's a bit of info on how to use it here:

http://www.cass.net/faq/winrar.html

Failing that, do a google for 'rar repair tool', there's various shareware and freeware apps available

ok thanks i tried the repair in winrar.. but it just freezes and crashes! :S

I'll look for a free 3rd party one
