Whilst the pics taken with the k800i are ok,i really dont think they're up there with a dedicated digital camera.

It takes better pictures than my 3mp olympus did. It isnt as good as my 4mp sony but i dont expect it to be.

of course they arent as good as a stand alone digi cam..waddaya think ...tis a phone afterall..at least its a few steps ahead of those vga cams we use to have..
as everyone has already said...cameraphones cant b as good as stand alone digicams at least not yet

I think they are respectable. There have been a good many reviews on this device and it is a serious contender. With the right settings and a bit of practice you can take decent snaps pictures worthy of being printed out and placed in an album or uploaded to a blog.

Absolutely. Anyone who says it can't is living in lala land. Even the K750 can print photos and upload to a blog. K750 photos print out at 4"x6" as good as any cheap 35mm film camera or low-end digital camera. The detail is clear, the colour and exposure are excellent (although sometimes you need to manually adjust white balance when taking the photo).
Infact, no one has picked my 4"x6" prints as camera phone pictures, and people are always surprised when I tell them the pictures are from my camera phone.
