Probably been asked a thousand times in some form or another but here goes.
I'm on Orange UK and just bought a SIM card from Orange France for my k800i having been told by Orange that I could do so, but to no avail (i'm using whatever firmware Orange comes with, I think it's R1CB001)
So I immediately thought about flashing (or whatever jargon it is) using WOTANSERVER until I started browsing their forums.
As I trust some of the posts on here, I just wanted to check that it won't completely kill my phone in the process. Anyone actually done it? Is it possible at all? there were too many conflicting posts on WOTAN to actually find out

gudgin, you should search the forum before asking questions like this, as you said it's probably been discussed here before.

i've seen so many contradicting things that it's difficult to actually find a decent response, the same goes with this server, the database is pretty big by the looks of it. was just wondering if I could get a (semi)straight answer
