Yo!
Which USB-cable is it, that is bundled with the p990?
I can't use it to update the firmware via SEUS, and i figured that it perhaps is the wrong cable...

David

The one that normally comes with all SE phones...????...DCU-60 i think.
Either your cable is broken or your doing something wrong. My cable updates and transfers everything i want over to my pc easily and quickly.
If you cant update via SEUS then either its the cable...highly unlikely though but check the pins to see if they arent bent or broken off. Or could be a problem with your pc as quite a few people have had problems trying to update via SEUS.
I would uninstall SEUS and then re-install...after re-installing re-boot your pc and see if that helps.
If not then you might need to manually delete the update files within the SEUS folder in your pc and then try the update again.

OK, my bundled cable has four pins. Is that the same as your cable?
SEUS seems to know that a phone is connected, but it fails to identify it.
PC Suite, and all other sync stuff, works fine.
I'll try it on another PC.

Yes its the same as my cable. It could be your install of SEUS, as i said uninstall it and re-install it then re-boot your pc...as i had this problem as well and found out that by rebooting my pc...the SEUS then worked
