I purchased Handysafe from the SE shop and istalled it on my P990i. It is essential to me as I can remember all my usernames/passwords and have them somewhere safe at the same time.
Hoewever, it's a little more than 100 entries that took me ages to input into the device.
Is flashing the phone with the latest Firmware going to make me do all this from the beginning?
I know for a fact that I will have to re-install the application as the flashing wipes out everything.
If yes please advise a.s.a.p. as my phone needs the flashing but I also cannot invest so much time everytime a new FW is released by SE!
Thanx in advance!

i dont think you have to reinstall the applications.
Do a backup with Backup Manager first before updating your Firmware.
So a restore after that, most of the settings will remain intact.

Thanx pninenine0, but this will save me just from re-installing the apps.
Do you know whether the data will be restored as well? Theres a lot of data (usernames, passwords, emails, notes, messages, webpages etc) and I cannot afford (for the sake of a new upgrade) to lose it all.

I use the backup option all the time to restore the Handysafe app and data. Also don't forget Handysafe has a PC application for managing the database which is also another method for making backups. See the Epocware web site.

aint sure for handysafe ...
cos i do not have it installed.

but my apps settings are still there after my restore except for my time zone which i have to set it back.

does handysafe password protect files, pictures and folders as well?
or it just stores sensitive info

@pninenine0
It just protects sensitive data, nothing more!

@ Jah
Is this PC application included somehow in the file that you get to download from the SE web page? I dont recall having seen any executable files appart from the ***.sis file that I installed on my smartphone!
How can I get it now?
TIA
Petros

@Jah
I did check that but as I downloaded the app directly from SE, all I ever got was a ***.zip file that only had the Handysafe(full).sis file. No mention of the PC client was ever made.
Is there a way I could get it now?
