Hi guys,
t68i allows you enter phone number with "p" in your phone book. you just press "*" and hold.
does anyone know what it is for?

I would guess that it inserts a pause in the dialing string for use with calling cards, etc.

Yep, its for a pause when dialing, just like you can set with modems on computers
