> Nokia to switch to model names for mobile phones
Bookmark topic
Nokia is to give new phone models a names rather than a number, following the success of rivals with model names like RAZR and "chocolate."
ESATO NEWS
"What you will see coming from us in the future is not just a numbering system, you are going to start to see names that carry a meaning and are important to consumers," Keith Pardy, head of marketing at Nokia, said during a webcast from an Citigroup's investor meeting in New York.
He did not specify if all new models would get names, or if some would still be introduced with a four digit number.

i think that nokia almost used up every four digit number
and thats the reason why they are going to give names to the newer handsets

What about Nokia 'Incendiary device'
I'd much rather see a Nokia 'Just like the good old days of the 3310, 8310 etc.'!
Edit: as in as good a phone today as those phones were then, not going back to the specs of those phones, of course!

High end: Ooo and Aah, then?? Or even:
"Can you tell me when the 'Mmmmmm' will be released????"
"My daughter says she wants the new 'Tada', everyone at her school has one, apparently"

Wait, "Tada" is reserved to replace the N-series, together with the new line the "Whew" series.
