Hello,

I bought a K750i more then a year ago... A week ago I flashed him to a w800i (using the "free" da vinci method) but a lot of times when I start the Walkman and select a track my phone immediately turns off and reboot (right before he loads the "now playing" frame). My phone worked great till 4 days ago,, or something...

Is this a known problem?
If so... what can I do about it?
If not... should I try to reflash it?

Thanks in advance...

I had exact same problem.

You need to backup your memory card format it and copy the stuff back over. That did it for me.

Thanks for the suggestion.

He isn't crashing that frequent anymore, but he still does.. He crashed 1 time, when I just scrolled down the tracks list.

Could it be something with wrong file names? Maybe he got sometimes problems with reading filenames that contains symbols like ' , ? Or couldn't that be the problem.. I dont know anymore

Is the program "Disc2Phone" known for creating a unstable memory stick or something? I used Disc2Phone to transfer the mp3's, since I want sort the playlist on artist-->album.

I've never had that kind of a problem. What firmware are you running? should be the R1BC002..

I flashed with Hendrix w800.exe and Far Manager/SEFP and I've never had any problems with my W800i

Yeah, that did it... I removed all the symbols from my mp3 filenames using "Bulk Rename Utility". And with "Mp3tag" I removed all the ID3.
They are both easy to use.. just a couple of clicks and your done.

Now I can't get my "w800i" to crash. Thanks everybody! I Love this forum...

Yeah, I beleive its a firmware problem. Seems to happen when you scroll down song list! Did it on my old w800i, took it back 3 times to shop to get it repaired. Each time it came back it did the same thing. They eventually replaced it with a lovely brand spanking new w810!! RESULT!!

Anyway flashed my father s old k750i to the w800 firmware and the problem started happening on that handset. Flashed back to k750 - problem solved! try formatting memory card like previously said. My GF has the same phone with no such problems, may just be down to crappy sandisk memory card!!!
