I was just wondering if any one knows as to whether or not SE intend on increasing the volume 'cap' on the k800i in future FW updates?

well its not low, id say in the media player, its pretty much about the same sound level as my old k750i. Just i kinda expected the media player to be louder then the k750i thats all. my ipod is rather loud as opposed to my k800i. (5th gen)

I was just thinking the same thing, if you go into the equalizer you can make the phone go louder but it distorts. All I can think is the speaker isn't really up to the job. My friend’s Nokia N80 is super loud and clear with no case vibration. Seems to me that the K800i is the better phone overall, but average at best, although not in camera mode. The K800i reminds me of any Volkswagen interior, robust, does what it says in the tin but bland.

im actually refering to when using the earphones, not the speaker itself. also i dont think there really seems to be too much difference (loudness wise) when the EQ is turned up on the k800i.
