> K750i - show own number?
Bookmark topic
Hi everyone:
I've read the phone manual 3 times, search tips and tricks, and the internet, and I've played with the phone for an hour (profiles, phone status, hidden menus, IMEI number, etc.) I can't believe I can't find what I'm looking for.
I just put in a new pay as you go SIM card, and I want to see the phone number that the phone recognizes itself as. Is there no "show own number" feature on the K750i?
With older/other phones, it was always in or near the network NAM settings.
I can't believe that this phone wouldn't have it, and even more that I can't find it.
Can anyone offer some help?
(I know I can call to another phone and use the caller id to see the number, but I'm thinking it must be on the phone somewhere...)
Thanks.

Hi, on the K750 Contacts > Options > Special Numbers > My Numbers - Also, click the volume / zoom button on the right of the K750i for Phone Status which should display your mobile number

Yes thanks. Thats it.
The problem was that a prepaid SIM card did not put that info in the field...
Thank you.

In my w800i I had to save my number (the field was empty) and now it is shown when I press volume. Unbranded phone + normal contract.

I just noticed that with my K750i and tried it with my T616. It works!
I didn't know that before. Thanks!

Shame that my K750i shows the number of the original SIM that came with the phone - prior to my number being ported over. Unusual

Hmm.. I quess that only branded phones take the number automatically. And on unbranded phones one can / must fill the number etc. fields by themselves. Also if you do not need the own number information just leave the field empty and when pressin volume the info is one line smaller because no number is displayed (good if you want it to fit into one screen, no scrollbars).
Or is there any use of putting own number in the field? I mean there is alredy a separate own business card thingie.
