> Vodafone Help.New Contract

I have just taken ou a new contract with vodafone today and i was told if i dial 191 from my handset that i could be told my current message and minutes allowance. I have tried this and the automated voice asks for my mobile number or account number...............i type one in (i have tried both) and i get told that they do not recognise it!?! Is there some where that i have to register my sim?
