Depends on the TV content you want. If you're in the states you can probably get MobiTV with it:

According to this it does NOT require 3G connection to function.

Of course you can, contrary to outdated model W800 which can't because it lacks EDGE support available on W810 handsets, nice ... I'm using it watching F1 when I must go in toilet and don't want to miss some Schumi action
