I've had my M600 for a little over a month now and although I love it, i can't help but to think it's kind of slow compared to even my old p900. Also, my screen saver which opens a photo folder that I made on the card sometimes defaults back to the phone's original screensaver (the one with spinning blocks). I also find the phone sometimes crashes, or...i click on a certain application and it cannot open it. All of these things are fixed by restarting it, but I restart my phone at least once every few days. I am using the latest firmware too.
Anyone else experiencing the same?

update your phone with latest firmware.
software is available e.g. from SE site.
latest is R9a002 (right now, changes all the time obviously...)

It is normal to restart your phone at least one time a day, especially if you are using a smartphone. The restart refreshes and clears phone's memory which is used for storing all temporary data from the apps running on the phone.

When you say "re-start" the phone do you mean switch it off and on again or is there some other way of doing it ??

Thanks

Dont mislead people: there is NO need to install any additional software to take care of this problem.

Simply update your phone to the latest firmware and then go to control panel and turn off the on-screen script writing recogniton. Done deal.

That is all you need to do.

Umm, are you by any chance suggesting turning OFF handwriting recognition? Doesn't seem to be a wise choice, especially for a phone WITH handwriting recognition!

The M600i is a fine piece of hardware, the latest update has made everything silky smooth. I don't believe there are still companies that DO care about after sale experience.

Well done, SE.

Exactly. Why turn off one of the key features of the phone? With the latest update the phone runs MUCH faster than before. Yes it has quirks and strange things but I will take this phone over the Nokia 9300i that I had everyday. The M600i is a nice piece of machinery and I would recommend it everyday.

@BeeWolf

Dude read the posts before you post. He said he already had the latest software while you simply post without reading.
