hey, just purchased a K800i, and might i say WOW
after being a nokia user from day one, i must say we have a new winner
anyway, i thought to my self with having some free space on the phone i could try and throw a movie on it
ripped a dvd to mp4, and it plays on the computer fine
but when i go and put it on the memory card on the phone, and play it back, the sound is a few seconds (maybe 10) out of sync with the video
am i the only nerd who has tried this, or have any others tried and run into the same issue?
any and all help will be appreciated
cheers

Hi Dave

Go to howardforums.com, and find the thread entitled 'W900i video encoding guidelines', or some such. Mysh has written an app for precisely this purpose. It is only in alpha stage at the moment, but I have ripped approximately 30 hours of video so far, and it works extremely well. Look at the end of the thread, and there is a download link in Mysh's sig.

Cheers

fantastic works a treat, just curious now, can you fast froward / rewing when playing a video on this phone, or is it a case of watching the hole movie, start to finish?
cheers

So long as you use the dedicated video player, yes, you can FF/RR. If you open the video from the file manager, though, I don't think you can.
