> Controlling the flash on the K800i
Bookmark topic
Hi,
I love this phone, but the flash is annoying. I'm all for Auto-flash, if it knows when I want to use the flash, but it doesn't. Am I missing something? There appears to be no way to manually switch on the flash, which is very annoying.
What am I doing wrong?

It _IS_ annoying that you can't use as torch, was perfect for not wakin up the kids with light on.

just do a search and get the torch app which will let you use the red autofocus light as a torch.

isnt it possible to make a picture with the flashlight no matter how much light you have ?
I mean just like it was possible on the K750 to turn it on for taking pictures no matter how much light you had.

slead,
You are comparing K800's Xenon flash and K750 LED light. If you mount the accessory flash MXE-60 on K750 you'll have the same problems with missing forced flash on option. Real pity in backlight situations outdoors and alike...
There is not a single word "flash" on K750's User's Guide nor in K750's camera's settings menu, only word "light". Big difference...
EDIT:
Maybe one day SE will borrow this design of Nokia's PD-2 having LED light for video and Xenon flash for stills, side-by-side:
