> P990i on T-mobile UK?

Aybody heard if T-mobile are going to offer the P990i on contract? I asked them and got an email saying ''Not in the foreseeable future.'' Seems a shame as their web n walk and the P990 would be a killer combination.

That is exactly what i would like, web n walk with the P990i but t-mobile are just sloths when it comes to releasing new phones. I also wouldnt like them to butcher the phone with their customisations. I am currently looking to upgrade with O2 at a low 15 per month contract for 12 months, get the P990i for 180, start a new contract with T-mobile and sell the phone from that contract. Currently the Tytn costs about 80 on contract and sells for 260 on ebay, so that would be helpful in covering the O2 line rental.

Last I heard, they didn't have plans on releasing it, instead deciding on marketing their MDA handset range (and some other handset by a company named Nokia, the E61

lmao)
Having said that, the inclusion of the M600i in the T-Mobile Germany handset range was surprising, although this may/may not be a reflection of upcoming handsets for the UK.

Hi all,
After having a nice talk with a supervisor @ T-Mobile and reading between the lines of what i was being told. T-Mobile now only tend to put a little branding on the phone covers add a web and walk icon plus of course T-Zones links and that really is about it so really not much more than 02 then. The reason they take so long in releasing new phones is they have upped their standards that they require before releasing a phone on their network. Hence no N80, M600 etc etc, all which IMHO is the way to go and would also explain why 02 keep delaying adding the P990 as obviously they are less than happy with its stability just now IMO.

Im liking the grey m600, though the t-mobile sign is something I dont think I could get used to. With grey buttons it would have look much better.

i guess you cant blame t-mobile for not releasing phones with known issues. But i am one of those that will get the phone regardless of reported instabilities like with the P990. i am just happy that there are constant firmware upgrades correcting the bugs

I have to say, the M600 does strike me more than the P990i. But that light grey is just wrong! It has to be white. T-Mobile UK put their slow launch of handsets down to the fact that they have a more intensive pre-launch testing program. This is the official line that they used to give to their front 3 dealers in the UK (Chitter Chatter, Ace Contact and FoneHouse). The truth is though, they have a poor relationship with most manufacturers which leads to delays with some models.

I've never heard of that truth before. Where did you get it from?
