Hey guys,
I have a secure WLAN network at work that requires a security certificate. But i can't seem to be able to get the certificate. Can anyone help me with that?

I have the proceedure of installing the certificate for WM5, i'll post it if it helps.

I've managed to import a pfx certificate via openssl.
convert .pfx to pem
convert .pem to der
and then install on the phone.
But there is no way (yet) to bind the certificate to your WiFi connection, at least not one that I found.
The WiFi is poorly integrated in the phone and many standard WM5 or Palm features are still missing. I hope they include this in newer firmware.
The ones I missed so far:
802.1x using a certificate
EAP-TTLS using PAP inner authentication

Well, I need a certificate at university, too, but my work is easier:

They give me the certificate in the .cer format, wich the phone recognizes.

Still, I can't get to connect as , as ericplan said, there is no way to bind it to the connection.

If I follow all the other steps (except for the certificate) and try to connect, the phone freezes and I have to remove battery / do 10s long power button press...

Well, i faced the same porblem, and managed it like this:

1. You HAVE TO find a computer that can access the desired WLAN (like lab pcs or work pcs)
2. Open Internet Explorer (for me it is version 6)
3. Tools-->Internet Options-->Content
4. Click certificates button under certificate group.
5. Click Trusted root certificate authorities
6. Try to find out a(or some) certificate(s) named after office / school. Like i work in Banglalink GSM, and I found two certificates named "BanglalinkCA" and "BanglalinkCert".
7. Import 'em into your mobile phone
8. Use authentication same as ur computer with proper un/pass (in some cases it won't b needed, in my case it was my un/pass for my domain)
9. Connect and enjoy

Hope it helps

Nice, I'll give it a try.

Still, I think there is a problem... (maybe):
The name we give to the certificate in the P990 has a very limited number of characters, the original certificate name was cut when I installed it. Maybe the net asks for the full name certificate and the phone canīt find it...
Don't know if it works like that, thow...
