> Need help with P990 GPRS to PC
Bookmark topic
Trying to setup my notebook to connect via BT to use GPRS/3G while about like I did with my P910i for GPRS.
I have a Vodafone P990i.
I have got the PC connected via BT to the P990i and using *99# and User:web Password:webs gets me so that I'm connected but no data is transfered.
When connected, a GPRS Modem connection shows in connection manager dialogue. You can see its properties and APN is blank (I believe it should say "internet"). I can't find anyway to alter this on the phone as it doesn't show as an item in Internet Connections dialogue.
Am I missing something? Is VF firmware nobbled and can you alter this on non-branded?
Any help please. I'm still waiting on VF feedback.

I was going to correct your *9# to *99# but you beat me to it
have you tried using the mobile networking wizard in the pc suite? they've really made it so easy to get a connection using that and it can even read and use the data accounts in the phone

I had the same problem with my p910.
Try using *99***1# or *99***2# etc... I believe the number specifies the APN to connect to.
I just got my p990, and it works using *99***5#.
