The P900 can only be update to the latest available for the P900 at the Opera site which is not the latest thats built into the P990 for example.

P990 has opera 8.6 whereas the latest listed on the
opera site for P900 (and P910) is 6.31
if you do mean for P990 then no, as Opera is in the firmware. I suppose if Opera made a later version for UIQ3 you might be able to install it on the P990 and use that rather than the built in one, but so far there is no later version that I can see

is it possible to use opera mini with the wi-fi connection on the P990i or just gprs/3g connection? i get an error message saying that i am unable to connect even though my connection works perfectly using the original opera browser. it's just i wanted to surf the net in flip closed mode. is there some sort of setting for it to work with the wi-fi connection? TIA

mine works fine in wifi. i have no 3g/gprs settings installed though, only wifi, so that might be something.
