UK voda, wotan unbranded K800i, internet is fine but cannot connect to email. Fails to find server is the error message but I suspect connection failure is the issue. All suggestions most welcome . Cheers, F. This message was posted from a K800i

You will probably find it is vodafone blocking the pop3 email access on their mobile internet im afraid.

They used to do that when i was with them so i left!
They may only allow access to the vodafone pop3 email server, if that at all.

It is also the same on 3(three) prepay and possibly contract.

Strange , as my wife has a voda branded SE handset and she can access her standard pop3 mail box and send via voda's send.vodafone.net for outgoing smtp.

Try downloading the email settings from the Sony Ericsson site rather than the Vodafone site. I had the same problem with the Voda settings and as a last resort I tried the SE settings and they worked straight away. You just have to answer the questions i.e. email address, service provider etc.etc. I'm with BT Internet and a couple of the settings were not what I thought they'd be hence I had the same problem as you.
