High everybody,

After 2 days trying and configuring I suceeded:

I now got the digianswer/toshiba BT card to work but it only works randomly with xtnd connect Pc. and if it works it takes time.
rx = about 0.2 kbs and tx= 0.2 kbs.

So if you want to buy some BT card, try something else.

Xtnd connect PC takes sometimes 3 - 4 tries before opening connection.

OK, I was so ST*** to buy a PC card without checking this forum first for cards that actually work. I have a Toshiba PA3053U bluetooth card on a XP laptop. I don't get it to work whatsoever. The phone only shows as connected in the bluetooth neighborhood when it's "discoverable" - but not in normal mode. If I double click on it, it says "service discovery on Sven's T68i failed" and similar things happen when I try to make a dial up connection etc. Mobile Phone monitor doesn't find anything. I'm not able to figure out how to change the com port settings for this bluetooth connection.

Does anyone who got this card to work want to help me though this?

Thanks,

Sven

I did install the MS patch for XP, and that didn't do much. I kept messing with it and finally (just once) I could "open" the T68i connection and make a serial link (com7), but none of the Mobile Phone Monitor programs worked with it (even though I enabled com7 in MPM). Help!

Has anyone had any luck getting the t68 to work with the Toshiba PA3053U Bluetooth card? If I put the phone in discoverable mode everything works great; but I don't want to have to put the phone in dicoverable mode every time...

I'm also having problems synching my IPAQ 3870 with this card. I've got a USB dongle that works great with both (phone and IPAQ); but I was hoping to get a bluetooth PC Card that would work.

Any input is appreciated!

Shannon

I to had problems with the bloothcard & a t68.
Eventually it worked though.
running 98se on a laptop.
Thinks to check are.
goto bluetooth configeration tool & make sure that the digianswer virtual com port 7 has a tick in the serial port profile box.
Put discoverable on on phone.
If laptop see phone goto Pared devices option under bluetooth.
If laptop isnt there select add new to get phone to search for laptop,
when it finds it enter paskey ( something like 1111)
A confirmation box may appear on the laptop promting for the passkey ( or it may auto accept).
Once you can see the phone in your bluetooth neighbourhood
click the local services button.
(incidentally my local services didnt show serial conections until after reboot... so maybe a reboot & a coffee would be a good idea at this point)
The phone should appear greyed out in the neighbour hood window
Now drag the com 7 icon to the phone icon ( com3 may work)
A box appears saying establishing link ( with animation )
Another box appears asking which of the two serial ports on the phone are to be used.
In the neighbour hood panel the phone should now have a "cross" through it and say Bonded & Slave

Thats it.
Get PCcontrol form chritersson.org ( brillient) & off you go
Phew hope it works for you

Hi
I also had a lot of trouble making this card syncronize with XTDNConnect. Finally I did it.

For all that have problems do the following:
1. Download and install Bloetooth Software Suite 1.09. This makes your BT card Bluetooth 1.1. compatible
2. Make sure the vitual port you use in MPM is used only in the serial profile.
3. I first tried with firmware version R2E006. When upgraded to R7A005 all problems with BT were gone.

Well..I got T68i to work with Toshiba's BT card. Everything is fine except for sending pictures from the phone to the PC. The option "send via Bluetooth" is simply disabled when I try to send a picture from My Pictures...any thoughts??
