> k800 imaging, not that great?

for the record, the k800 camera may have bigger resolution and some really great features, but i believe the k750 gave better results.
- not results with as many mega pixels, but better pictures.
if i'm shooting a scene with both dark areas and bright areas, the k800 dies on the spot. it cant seem to rest inbetween extremes. so i usually settle for some details in the dark areas, but then the bright areas will blow out and give you a white, detail free glow. if you decide to let the camera adjust to the bright areas rather, the dark areas become black and you lose all detail there. there's no inbetween. it's light metering seems to be terrible.
i'm loving the k800, but i flinch when i read posts about it having the best camera etc etc. not true.
UNLESS, mine is faulty. anyone else notice this?

My impression is exactely the same. I've tried to change settings so it matches the surroundings I'm in, but I believe my K750i gave me better results without having to do anything but press the button...

i agree with you.. i think i was stupid to change my w900i for a k800i... id settle for 2.0 megapixels.. its hard to shoot during night.. even with the flash..

that retort is pretty lame itself. How about you practice some manners? If people want to use a camera phone for photography that is their choice. I personally am sick to the death of justifying using my K750 to pursue my photographics interests to people like yourself.
I wouldn't mind if you personally don't find a camera phone useful for photography, but to attack people or treat them as idiots because they use a camera phone themselves is rude, arrogant and naive. As long as commercial photography has existed, photographers have utilised cheap consumer cameras for artistic purposes. It is the choice of the artist as to what medium they use. There is no "right" or "wrong".

Relax people, why is it that there must be a fight in at least 3 out of 5 forums i visit... Can't people just be nice to each other. Forums are found for members to post their problems/solutions/thought/etc. there is no need for humiliation whatsoever. Anyway i use my k800i for taking pictures as well, cuz i did not want to spend another AU$400-$500 for a digi cam although i KNOW that i will get better quality photos, but i WONT be carrying my digi cam everywhere i go, unlike my phone which i HAVE to carry.
