Bookmark topic
I have 2 PC's say some 7-8 meters apart one running XP & another 98. I wanted to connect both of them using 2 Bluetooth dongles.
If thats possible what are the steps to do so? The transfer speed is irrelevant right now.
Also, I dont want to use any sort of LAN cable. Say I dont want anyone to know that there exists any sort of physical connection between the two PC's !!!
Thanks All

I'm not sure that it's possible with win98, but the first step would be to run the network setup wizard (not the wireless network setup wizard) on the XP machine and select the bluetooth adapter as the networking device that you wish to use. Complete the rest of the wizard and then create a network setup floppy disk for the win98 machine when prompted.
Run the wizard from the floppy disk on the win98 machine and maybe, just maybe it'll work! I guess it might depend on what software you get with the bluetooth dongle. If you only get the basic drivers then it probably won't work but if it comes with an application that includes support for P2P networking, then you're in with a chance.

Good point, it'll definately only work with 98 second edition (98se).
