hi everyone,
my mate has just got a laptop from his dads work only to find it is password protected. he cant find out what the password is.
How can he bipass this?

In the old days in a password protected PC, we could just remove a jumper for it to clear the password, but i assume they revised that...

thats weird i was reading the solutions witout paying for it or anythin...
it was sayin somethin bout removing CMOS battery and stuff basically i 'googled' it. see if you have any luk doin that

or you can go in via safe mode, clik adminstrator and remove passwords in control panel. i dont know whether this is a fix cause i was reading up on this aswell

if it is a BIOS password then you need to remove the battery on the motherboard which powers the CMOS. If it is a normal password you might be able to log on as administrator still, you wont be able to change the normal user profile though.
