i upgraded to the latest k750 firmware, R1DB001, and i tried that trick again where u delete the statusindicator lines from layout.xml to get rid of the operator logo, but it didnt work. it messed up the the softkey ( calls & menu) buttons on the desktop, and also the menu buttons cant be pressed anymore? i restored the layout but it would help if someone has an idea how to get rid of the operator logo again.
on a side note, does this mean that the other patches wont work with R1BD?

PS: thanks to topsony for providing the firmware and helpful guides all in one place.

I don't know about your firmware if it is compatible with those "tricks", but you can "remove" your operator logo by changing the theme. Try changing the logo colour with SE Themes Creator, with a color that is the same with your background. Now you can almost see your operator logo if you look\\search for it very hard on th display. But this cannot be done if you have very colorful background or animation.
